#Releasethememo to Get New Influx of Tweets as Over Five Months of Messages Spanning Dec ’16-May ’17 Recovered
#Releasethememo gets new fuel for its fire as the “lost” messages between two FBI agents highly critical of the Trump Administration are recovered. The messages have not been released. There is speculation that Andrew McCabe will soon be implicated in the controversy surrounding agent Strzok.
The FBI agent had allegedly been caught in a plot to undermine the Trump Administration with an attorney at the Department of Justice. Several thousand text messages between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page had gone missing. The loss of the messages was attributed to faulty Samsung devices, according to the FBI. However, this problem has been remedied by Inspector General Horowitz office’ use of forensic technologies to harvest the data directly from the devices of the FBI agents.
Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa both received a letter confirming the recovery of the “lost” messages. Horowitz made additional comments to Fox News. Recent reports of an undisclosed “secret society” operating within the FBI have made the recovery of the messages all the more intriguing and the entirety of the issue is looming over the FBI.
Recently Dems had attacked the hashtag, #releasethememo stating that it was propelled by “Russian bots” which led to an investigation by Twitter execs. That proved to be a hollow statement as Twitter confirmed the trending hashtag to originate from American accounts. Pressure continues to mount in Capitol Hill as more leaks and revelations are forthcoming.
